It’s amazing what you can do, by just getting out of bed!

Thanks for the title, Eric. I really suck at those.

Let it be known that I, Ness, am a lazy bum. I would rather roll out of bed and crawl to my computer chair, slump into my comfortable chair and just waste my time. I am a huge procrastinator, I get side tracked easily, and I love to put things off.

Not today! Today, I get stuff done.

Alright, not literally… but that’s how I feel. I slept in today. It was a LONG night and I tapped away at the keys for a solid paragraph before someone messaged me to do an ARAM ( a game type in the popular game League of Legends where the champions are randomly chosen).

“Sure, I only have time for one game!” My famous last words. 3 hours, several games later, I end the game on a high note with, by my own opinion, the best AP Sona ever. I set my alarm for a reasonable time and snoozed a half hour until Eric texted me badgering me to get on Skype – it’s time to work.

Now I don’t remember where I read this but I am sure it was on the internet and it was most likely Reddit. The best thing to do right when you wake up is….take a SHOWER. GASP! It leaves you feeling more awake, clean, and you begin to feel accomplished already by just doing basic hygiene. I walked out of that shower feeling clean, radiant, and smelling like a flower. Not really like a flower, you get the picture. I felt good. No lounging on the couch to ‘wake up’ for an hour like I usually do. (For those of you worried about my personal hygiene, I do shower, just not always right when I wake up…Thank you for your concern!)

As we speak, in the last hour, I have started and completed a load of laundry, set the slow cooker to low with some chicken and barbecue sauce  inside of it (I’ll let you know how it tastes in 4-6 hours), and typed this post. As soon as I finished, I will put some time into writing, clean the kitchen, fold the laundry, and cook the beans that will go with my chicken. If I can squeeze a couple of minutes for game time in somewhere, I will fall asleep tonight feeling super accomplished!

“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s a day you’ve had everything to do and you’ve done it.” – Margaret Thatcher

Love,

Ness

P.S. Today’s music of choice shall be metal again… I need to get into the mindset of the character I am writing.
